SpartanTutors offers in-person and online test prep and tutoring for physics, mathematics, inorganic chemistry, most engineering courses, statistics, machine learning, Python programming, data science, operations research / classical optimization, and AI engineering, as well as test-preparation for the SAT, GRE, GMAT, and LSAT, along with many AP exams, and the physics, inorganic chemistry, and verbal analysis portions of the MCAT. We also offer admissions, scholarship, fellowship, and grant writing assistance, with an eye towards strategy rather than towards mechanical concerns easily addressed via artificial intelligence.
We are conveniently located across the street from Michigan State University, and available online via web conference.
Since 1997, we have helped professionals, college students, high school students, and junior high school students seeking to advance their understanding, or their prospects, via academic study or high performance on a standardized exam, seeking to master a particular subject, or seeking to optimize the presentation of their credentials for an admissions, scholarship, fellowship, or post-doctoral position. A new offering is training within data science and AI engineering which, though we, in general, are purists and love theory, is geared towards interview prep, skills acquisition, and commercial application of AI.
Our students have come to us from MSU, Ann Arbor, Harvard, Wellesley, Albion, University of Chicago, McGill, Oaklahoma State, Okemos, East Lansing, Haslett, and Holt, Haiti, Japan, Germany, etc.
Most services are provided by Anthony Graybosch, B.S. mathematics, M.S. physics, ABD theoretical physics, high school teaching certification in mathematics and physics. Anthony has scored in the 99th+ percentile on over 20 different standardized exams, has taught and tutored since 1997, and has edited many successful admissions, fellowship, scholarship, and professional applications, including a winning Rhodes Scholarship application. Anthony has worked, for the last 12+ years, in data science broadly construed, where he has built, in 2021, the 9th best in the world machine learning model for electrical load, and where he recently earned a patent for using S Matrix theory, a mathematical method for quantum mechanical and quantum field theoretic scattering theory, in place of classical optimization, in order to solve, at speed, a famously difficult NP hard problem, the rich timebound capacitated vehicle routing problem. For the protection of family members he stepped away from in person teaching during the pandemic and is very happy to return to teaching and have the opportunity to help students navigate the current, post-Covid, post-commercial-AI, not yet multi-polar but certainly heartily contested world.
