Our next LSAT prep course will meet Tuesdays 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM from September 25 to November 20, and for one additional 2 hours long meeting at a time when all participants are available.
SpartanTutors has offered an LSAT prep class on the MSU campus since 2010, achieving an average LSAT score improvement of at least 27 percentile points, with a standard deviation of 11 percentile points. We believe there are several valuable, though substantially different, published review guides for Logic Games (Analytical Reasoning, or AR), while the review guides for Reading Comprehension (RC) and for Logical Reasoning (LR) are not very good. Our approach is to use an eclectic mix of resources for Games and to ultimately encourage students to develop their own best practices for classifying, diagraming, solving, and finessing logic games questions, practices we test by together solving many LR questions. For RC and LR, our approach is to share our own toolbox for those sections and then workshop many official problems, demonstrating best practices and encouraging close reading as well as understanding of the tricks and tropes of those LSAT sections. Students test out our toolbox, the recommendations of other LSAT experts, and strategies that occur naturally to them in the course of solving official LSAT problems.
