Test Prep Classes and 1-1 tutoring for the GMAT with SpartanTutors
prev / next
We offer in-person and online tutoring, as well as in-person and online comprehensive test prep courses, for the GMAT.
The Fall GMAT prep course will meet Sundays, 5:15 PM to 7:30 PM, from October 9 to December 4, with no meeting the Sunday following Thanksgiving.
The instructor, SpartanTutors' owner Anthony Graybosch, is a 99th+ percentile scorer who has taught and tutored for the GMAT since 1997. Anthony has ghost-written GMAT prep materials for three internationally known GMAT test prep companies. We will supplement the official GMAC materials and our own powerful toolbox for the examination with the best third party materials written for preparing for the GMAT. Tuition for the course is only $985, less than half the cost of comparable courses.
Private tutoring for the GMAT is also available at the rate of $75/hour. Students may split the private tutoring fee at a nominally larger rate. We have limited availability for private tutoring, and encourage you to inquire asap if interested in 1-1 GMAT prep.
A recent testimonial, from an MSU engineering senior working with SpartanTutors, follows:
"I began tutoring with Anthony this passed February and met with him once a week (two hours each session) up until I took the official exam on May 27th. Anthony has a very fundamental understanding on all GMAT concepts, and likewise helped me immensely in preparing for my exam. I came into tutoring already fairly strong in quant (engineering background), however from my experience I've realized that there is a significant difference between being strong in math and being strong in GMAT quant. Anthony and I focused on quantitative areas where I errored most frequently in order to maximize the use of our time together.
The same goes for verbal, however I came into tutoring very poor in verbal. Anthony recognized that this was my greatest weakness, and likewise my greatest area for improvement. We worked through verbal questions together very methodically in order to gain a firm understanding of what exactly the question writer is trying to get after and therefore what we should be on the lookout for. You will realize that there are certain concepts that are tested more frequently in verbal questions than others concepts (there may also be certain concepts which you have a hard time identifying in question format); Anthony will help you in these areas.
All-in-all I am very pleased with Anthony as a tutor. My first practice exam that I took back in March was a 650 (77th percentile), my official score on May 27 was a 740 (97th percentile). I have been contacted through email by various business schools already, including Chicago Booth, and I would not be in the position that I'm currently in if it wasn't for Anthony's help."
